A gorgeous engagement shoot at Holkham, Norfolk.

Holkham Beach is where I escape to here in the UK, when I need a strong breeze to blow away the cobwebs and to ensure that my mobile phone doesn’t work… I also LOVE walking the dogs along this beautiful beach.  You can walk for miles and not see another person.

So, when Lizzie and Mat suggested we shoot their engagement shoot there, I jumped at the chance.

Holkham was a special place for this lovely couple, and although the weather wasn’t very kind to us ( well, we did shoot this in June), the shoot did prove to perfect.  And we got so many images.

We started off by parking at the Well-next-to Sea end, in the main car park, and started our shoot though the stunning pine forrest (really reasonable parking charges and a few minutes to the beach).  But you can access the beach from any where along the pine forrest.

So, if you are looking for an amazing beach, gorgeous skies (slightly unpredictable weather) and a truly breath of fresh air, then please take the time out and go and visit Holkham.

I love the fact that most of my bride and grooms decide to go for an engagement shoot.  I understand teatime is precious, I get that NO ONE likes having their picture taken.

But I promise, if you agree to do an engagement shoot, then I promise that I’ll make it as fun as possible, virtually painless AND you’ll both end up with series of relaxed, natural and fun portraits of you both.

And don’t forget, your engagement shoot is a perfect opportunity to get some lovely images for your save the date cards, but especially for your signing frame or ultimate guest book.  But, most importantly, you’ll both get to spend an afternoon walking around somewhere that’s special to you both, and hopefully taking in the sea air!
