I get to hear a lot of proposal stories, some are superb and awe inspiring, other should have read this post first.

I got to propose to Fiona on North Beach, in Miami (a place that we both love very much).  The sun was coming up, the sand felt cool under our feet and Fiona didn’t have a clue what was going to happen.  Eventually, after about a mile of walking in the surf, I managed to pluck up the courage, produce the ring and she said yes.

So that’s my story.  Sadly it doesn’t compare for one second to James’ amazing proposal to Arabella.  James kind of ruined it for every other male who is thinking about how to ask.  It was a proposal so thought out that it took military precision and about nine envelopes.  I won’t go into the details here, but seriously, one of the best proposals I’ve ever heard.  The amount of intricate planning that went into this proposal would have had NATO looking into their planning.  Well done James!

And here’s another one.  This was forwarded to me the other day…it’s a little long but you can forgive the guy once you start watching the movie.  Now, this is HOW to propose!  But only if you have 60+ friends and a lot of flair.

Very well done and congratulations to you both.
